Most HR teams are managing WC without the right tools.

Workers compensation is complex. Carriers and TPAs do their jobs, but they can't replace an informed employer who understands the data, asks the right questions, and manages their program proactively.

📈
Visibility drives outcomes. Every number on a claim, including its reserve, flows into your experience modifier. Most employers have no independent way to evaluate whether those numbers reflect the actual claim trajectory.
🤝
Collaboration requires information. The best outcomes happen when employers, carriers, and TPAs are working from the same data. Most employers simply don't have the tools to participate meaningfully in that conversation.
📋
HR generalists aren't trained in WC management. They do their best with what they have, but without the right tools, it's hard to ask informed questions or catch things early enough to matter.
💰
The mod rate is a lagging indicator. By the time it shows up at renewal, the decisions that drove it were made 12–24 months ago. Early visibility into claim trajectory is the only way to influence the outcome.

From assessment to action in four steps

We do not replace your carrier or TPA. We make sure your team knows exactly what to ask for, challenge, and demand.

1

WC Program Assessment

How prepared is your workers compensation program? We score your organization across ten areas, from hiring and safety culture to claims oversight and return-to-work, and rate your readiness. You get a clear score, your strengths, your exposure areas, and the priority actions that move the number.

2

Expert Claims Review

We review your open WC claims against NCCI and WCRI benchmark methodology and track each one’s trajectory, treatment progress, and litigation exposure. When the data shows something off course, such as a reserve sitting above its expected trajectory, we document it and prepare a professional, evidence-based case for your carrier. Every recommendation is reviewed and signed off by our WC specialist.

3

State Guideline Compliance

We check every claim against the treatment guidelines and statutes that govern your state, from Oregon OAR 436 to Arizona ICA/ODG and the equivalents nationwide. We give you the specific citations so you can have informed, productive conversations with your carrier and TPA about treatment benchmarks and compliance.

4

Ongoing Training & Support

Your HR team gets a structured curriculum delivered weekly. Advisor clients get direct access to our WC expert, giving your team the knowledge to work productively alongside your carrier and TPA at every stage of a claim.

Value-based pricing that scales to your program

You don't pay for a package. You pay for the value we create against your specific exposure. We quote every engagement to the size of your program and the value we can return, through a monthly retainer, an upfront engagement fee, and a performance fee tied to the savings we deliver.

How We Charge
Monthly Retainer
Quoted based on your company size, risk profile, number of open claims, and program complexity. Covers full platform access, ongoing claims monitoring, HR training, and our expert time, scoped specifically to what your program needs.
  • Full platform access
  • Claim tracking and actuarial benchmarking
  • State guideline compliance for your jurisdictions
  • HR training curriculum
  • Monthly program review

How We Win Together
Shared Savings Bonus
When our review surfaces a documented savings opportunity, for example a reserve that differs from its actuarial benchmark, and an adjustment is achieved through the review process, we earn a percentage of the savings, negotiated per engagement. You only pay the success fee when there is a documented, carrier-confirmed outcome.
  • Performance-based: success fee only on documented outcomes
  • Percentage negotiated upfront per engagement
  • Applies to outcomes confirmed by your carrier
  • Tracked transparently in your dashboard
  • Fee is a fixed percentage of documented savings, never more
Learn How It Works →
Your price scales to your program, not a price list.
A 50-person trucking company with 2 open claims has different needs than a 300-person manufacturer with 12. Every engagement is quoted specifically for your situation, so you're paying for the value we can actually create.
The investment pays for itself.
Claim outcomes flow directly into your experience modifier at renewal, which is where program value shows up. And because the success fee only ever applies to documented, carrier-confirmed savings, the engagement is structured to fund itself as it works.

Built by people who know where the money goes

Lucid Ops was built on a simple observation: employers who actively participate in their WC program consistently achieve better outcomes: for their business, their employees, and their carrier relationships.

Workers compensation is complex, and most HR teams are managing it without the training or tools they need. That gap isn't anyone's fault, but it does mean that most employers aren't getting as much out of their carrier and TPA relationships as they could.

"We built the tool we wish every HR manager had, so they can walk into any conversation with their carrier or TPA knowing exactly what the data says."

Our platform is not a replacement for your carrier or TPA. It is the knowledge layer that helps your team work alongside them more effectively, powered by the same actuarial data and methodology they use, made accessible to the HR generalists who are doing their best without specialized WC training.
